The DC Pink House is shutting down at the end of this month. Since 2007 it has been a home away from home for me, and a place of great joy, action and learning. Perhaps I'll have more to say later, but right now I'm just processing what I knew was inevitable.

DC is a damn expensive town to live in. I know; I tried like hell to get there and only managed it temporarily thanks to the late spouse and the Gannett Co.
All hail to the Pinksters and what they tried to do. They went the extra mile (or lightyear) for those of us who believed in the cause but were not as willing/able to put ourselves on the line.
