Wednesday Dogblogging
Needed a pick-me-up:

Cairo loves to dig. Sand, snow...doesn't matter. But winter provides many more opportunities as huge snow berms grow along our driveway as the season progresses.

Love Cairo's intensity. And thanks for the picture of simple joy. Have spent the day under a cloud of depression even my abnormally large oranges can't break. (Earlier post for explanation on oranges. Read news for stupid Bush press briefing, 36+ dead in Iraq, train wreck here in CA, Rice confirmed and Obama helped...*SIGH*)
Fun to have Cairo in b&w, emphasizes the beautiful line of her belly and leg, and the lift of her tail (with snow on it.) Doesn't she get cold?
Is this part of the stick acquistion quest? Or does wood shredding not necessarily follow digging?

Is she digging for those coins you buried? You did say you collected coins, right? or maybe it was postcards...

Cairo knows there must be a log down there and she is going to get it.
My parents' last large dog was a German Shepherd when they lived in upstate New York, and Suzie loved the snow. She would break trail to the mail box, and if you let her, to the main road about two miles away. In the Winter she had the undercoat and extra fur between her peds to insulate her.
