This makes me ill.

Atrocities occur in all wars, which is - like - a good reason to avoid them. But someone up the chain of command is hungry for a body count, dammit.

War does not change. People change because of war. There is no 'clean' war, just ugliness and pain. These soldiers will come back with this burden that we will need to address for the next generation.

Went to hear Seymour Hersh talk at CMC College and he didn't get to this story. (Really fractured way of speaking and was more of a discussion than a speech. I was a little frustrated by the lack of facts, and wish he'd gotten to the meat of the subject by mentioning such things as this horrible story.)

These things need to be presented to the pro-war public to show what we are making our soldiers do.

Just an aside to the Swiftboaters: So some soldier who tells on his comrades in Iraq for doing such horrors as this will be labeled a traitor and shouldn't run for office thirty years later?

Todd, there's not only Sy's story, w/video and audio, plus he told it again at NPR, But there's some video of some kills that can't possibly be legit. Lots of links here and here

God damn it, people, I said tell me this isn't true! Can't you read?

Of course we can read. Of course it's not true. This is BushWorld. Black is white, up is down.
