Venus Transits Sol
Here's the picture I took this morning of Venus' transit of the Sun:

Okay, this isn't really my picture (credit Ray Hayes in Alabama). I never got around to getting the necessary filters and attachment for my telescope and camera. God bless the Internet.

Hooray, it's still a marvellous pic. I took a shot myself of the transit as projected thru a telescope (someone'd set one up quite close to where I live in college), but just with a rather second-rate single-use camera. Have to see how that works out...

Yeah, I figure I have plenty of time to not plan ahead for that one, as well. I'll try to make it to the one after that, but my wife tells me I can't live forever.
