Not Connecting Dots
Today the 9/11 Commission released their "Overview of the Enemy" (PDF):
Bin Ladin...explored possible cooperation with Iraq during his time in Sudan, despite his opposition to Hussein's secular regime. Bin Ladin had in fact at one time sponsored anti-Saddam Islamists in Iraqi Kurdistan. The Sudanese, to protect their own ties with Iraq, reportedly persuaded Bin Ladin to cease this support and arranged for contacts between Iraq and al Qaeda. A senior Iraqi intelligence officer reportedly made three visits to Sudan, finally meeting Bin Ladin in 1994. Bin Ladin is said to have requested space to establish training camps, as well as assistance in procuring weapons, but Iraq apparently never responded. There have been reports that contacts between Iraq and al Qaeda also occurred after Bin Ladin had returned to Afghanistan, but they do not appear to have resulted in a collaborative relationship. Two senior bin Laden associates have adamantaly denied any ties existed between al Qaeda and Iraq. We have no credible evidence that Iraq and al Qaeda cooperated on attacks against the United States.
I'm sure Cheney will stop trying to make an Iraq-Qaeda connection in his speeches now...

Anyway, the point is that maybe Cheney is a robot, needs a little software upgrade, because evidently he refuses to accept that Iraq had no connections to al Queda. In fact the whole damn Bush administration continues to back up Cheney's lies...um "a... [Read More]

Crap. Sorry about all the trackbacks. I'm not sure how to ensure it doesn't re-TB every time I update the post.

We all know it was a joint CIA/Mossad operation by now. I don't know why they don't just come out with it, it's so obvious. They could probably spin it as justified too, judging by the media's handling of other dispicable crimes by the government in recent years.

Cheney react to reality? I'll believe it when I see it.

I don't think Cheney can stop. Karl Rove has the remote on his pacemaker and threatens to hit the fast forward button unless Cheney stomps about giving speeches about 9/11 = al Qaeda = Osama = Saddam = Iraq. As long as it gets into the news, people will believe it.

Sorry about all the trackbacks.
No worries. I'll delete the extras.

I don't have enough tinfoil in my kitchen for that one.
Cheney react to reality?
Oh sure, he reacts to reality all the time. Alas, Cheney's "reality" is a solipsistic prison from which he cannot escape. Here, Dick, eat the pudding...

Kinda like how Skinner had nanothingies that Krycek controlled in X-Files?
Thanks for the pdf link.
You're welcome. All part of the value I bring the blogosphere.
