School's Out For Summer!

In a few hours, I'll be singing just like this robin: my sabbatical starts today.
I'm making a personal choice to not work for the next few months given a variety of things going on in my life. It's an odd position to consciously take unpaid time off when so many Americans are still out of work or underemployed, but it's something I just have to do. I'm lacking balance right now and am trying to regain what I've lost.
Part of my time is going to be spent doing typical summer activities: a good deal of biking, hiking, and sailing. I also have some long-neglected projects around the house to complete. Mostly I have some work to do on myself, which is going to be difficult. Of course I plan to continue with the photography and blogging since that feeds my soul, which is the whole point of this exercise.
Speaking of blogging, if anybody has some spare change they can throw my way (via PayPal or Amazon), I'd appreciate it. Forsaking my paycheck is a choice, and I really have no right to ask this. However, I'd love to defray at least the hard costs of running the new site (my TypePad account runs 15 bucks/month) as much as I can while I am sans income. I figure if those readers who can afford it plunk down 5 or 10 bucks I'll be able to pay for maybe a summer's worth of blogging, if not an entire year. I know I'm not Atrios, but I might as well ask!
And if there's anybody out there looking for a budding photo/blogger/journalist to develop (and pay), I'd be much cheaper than Andy Sullivan.
