A Bit Of The Grape

No, I haven't officially moved to the TypePad site yet, but Blogger, true to form, is down (it is for planned maintenance, but still...).

The grape hyacinth is the latest flower to pop up in our garden. Figured after the previous post, a little cheer was in order. Don't forget to check out the new photo album if you haven't already!

Not sure why this happens, it did it to me when i messed around with Typepad a while back. Anyway, the type (where it says), "Where NTodd Says His Peace" floats up into The Dohiyi Mir text (they overlap each other) in IE5. I've noticed this on lots of other typepad blogs too. Plus as I type this message the right side of this comment message box is underlapping by the right sidebar field. Apparently the table for the comments box is too wide for the center column? Maybe? But in any case when i type here the cursor disappears under the right sidebar before it wraps again. (I have the page maximized too. Otherwise, looks nice.

Personally, I would have found some way to make your link to "Lawrence of Cyberia" a bit more prominent. Maybe a bigger font, flashing background and flourescent pink writing. Apart from that, the new page is looking good.

farmer - that's weird. I've found that for some reason, the columns get kinda jimmied up in IE6.1 on my machine, but not on my wife's. I went so far as to completely rebuild the template with the exact same code for troubleshooting purposes, and have been unable to replicate the problem on my machine. Anyway, thanks for the feedback. Hopefully I'll be able to work the little glitches out.

LoC - I'll implement your suggestions in the 3.0 release... :-)

NTodd - lookin at you on a laptop now, with IE6.1 and a high resolution screen and everything looks good. No jimmied up columns. Except that the top of sidebar fields (which look blue, not purple on this screen) overlap into the top header field. But the problem with the text is better and no problem with the comments box size. Plenty of room here now. So maybe it has something to do with the screen resolution size. This machine is set at something like 1200x1400 or something like that. When i was looking at the page earlier i was looking at it on a desktop set to 600x800.

uhmm....do you have insurance? :-)

Thanks for checking it out, farmer. I guess sometimes there's no accounting for browsers...

The grape, for its fiber content is a mild laxative. If constipated, Eat unpeeled grapes with seeds, and that is where are the substances that promote intestinal motility and help regulate its operation. For those with sensitive stomach, it is best to consume the juice of grapes or grape juice. Because of the richness of the grape sugar, people with diabetes and excess weight can take them but by controlling the amount.
